EWSU Water Service Line Inventory Released to State Regulators
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility (EWSU) has released its Service Line Inventory to state regulatory officials and met the filing deadline in accordance with new federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR). The new rule requires that all lead service lines in the Utility’s water distribution system be removed within the next 10 years.
On or after October 16, 2024, this inventory will become publicly available on the Indiana Department of Environmental Management website. EWSU will post the link to the inventory at ewsu.com/leadsafety when it becomes available.
To help keep our customers informed, EWSU will launch a series of Community Conversations to share information about the new LCRR requirements established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Utility’s lead service line replacement plan. The first Community Conversation will be scheduled at a date to be determined after EWSU's Service Line Inventory is available for public viewing on the State database.
