Evansville streets are swept regularly to remove trash, salt, gravel and other debris that could impede driving or clog the sewer system. As a courtesy, signs are posted to affected streets 24 hours prior to sweeping. 

Street Sweeping Schedule

• The downtown business district is swept once per week.
• Primary streets into and out of Evansville, including state highways, are swept once a month.
• Residential streets are swept twice annually in the spring and fall. Signs are posted at least a day in advance to inform you when your street will be swept.
