The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility Bill Relief Program is designed to help individuals and households lighten the cost of their utility bill.
Income-qualified customers who have active City water service and apply for the program receive a $10 monthly credit to save on their bill. That credit surpasses regular water rate increases and is applied to the customer’s active account for up to 12 months.
Customers currently enrolled in the program who have reached their 12 months of credit may re-apply online or call Customer Service at 812-436-7846 to receive credit for up to another 12 months.
Program funds are allocated to customers based on combined annual household income. Customers with a household income of $50,000 or less may qualify for assistance.
Customers must also reside within City limits and have active City water service.
The Bill Relief Program funding is underway for its second year. Customers may apply now to see if they qualify. It’s simple and easy.
If approved, a $10 credit will be automatically applied to your active account each month for up to 12 months.
Funding for the Bill Relief Program is provided by the American Rescue Plan, which provides direct relief to Americans and the economy during and as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
