If you use a sprinkler system (irrigation system), own a swimming pool or water your lawn regularly and want to avoid increased sewer charges, you may apply for split meter service. The water diverted through the split meter will not be assessed a sewer fee; however, the split meter service fee includes costs for the second meter, inspection of the installation and application processing.
Standard base water rates will apply. There is a one-time split meter service fee that includes costs for the second meter, inspection of the installation and application processing.
To apply for split service, complete the application form. Customer Service will email you a link, where the one-time fee may be paid.
Once the split meter service fee is paid, a plumber must complete the plumbing work at your property. After this work has been completed, the plumber must fill out the new meter installation form. It is the responsibility of the customer to hire a licensed plumber to install any plumbing for the split service and cover the cost of materials needed to construct the meter pit.
