Leak Repair Program

The EWSU Leak Repair Program is a partnership with Memorial Community Development Corporation (MCDC) to provide eligible customers with up to $1,000 in small repairs to their home water system and fixtures that can make a long-term difference in their utility bill.

Income-qualified customers who apply will have a home assessment performed to detect water leaks that may be increasing their monthly bill. If a leak is detected, eligible repairs will be made. If no leak is detected, other water-saving recommendations will be provided.

Get the Most out of Your Water

If left untreated, water leaks can increase your monthly costs. With the Leak Repair Program eligible qualified households will receive a free water leak inspection by a licensed plumber. Any small plumbing repairs under $1,000 can be fixed under this program, free of charge. Plus, by treating water leaks in your household, you’ll save money on your water bill long term. Who Qualifies for the Program?

Program funds will be allocated to customers based on U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limit guidelines in Indiana.

Customers who enroll in the Leak Repair Program and receive repair services are ineligible for the Bill Relief Program. If a customer declines the recommended work to be performed after the home assessment, and does not want to be referred or qualify for other programs, they will remain eligible to apply for the Bill Relief Program.
